Bank Funded Projects” was organised at
New Delhi on April 17 and Pune on
April 20, 2006. The objectives of the
seminars are to encourage Indian project
exporters, turnkey contractors and
consulting firms to participate in the
African Development Bank (AfDB)
funded projects, and enhance their
prospects of effective participation. A
team of experts, led by Mrs. Aud Marit
Wiig, Executive Director for India at
AfDB, provided detailed information on
procurement guidelines of AfDB to
enable Indian firms prepare and submit
responsive bids.
- Series of Seminars on "Business Opportunities in Asian Development Bank Funded Projects" was organised at - New Delhi on November 28-29, and Hyderabad on December 1-2, 2005. The experts from Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided detailed information on Procurement Guidelines of ADB
- Series of Round Table Meets on "Overseas Investment Opportunities with MIGA" was organised at Mumbai on November 7, New Delhi on November 14, Bangalore on November 16, and Chennai on November 18, 2005. The seminar was organised with faculty support from Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency(MIGA).
- Exim Bank of India hosted the 11thAsian Exim Banks Forum in Goa on October 5-7, 2005. The theme for meeting was "Promoting Regional Cooperation Through Trade Financing". The meeting was attended by the nine member institutions at the highest level viz. India, Japan, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Australia, with Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, as permanent invitee. KfW(Germany), BNDES(Brazil), OECD(Paris),UNCTAD(Geneva) and SME Bank and Central Bank(Srilanka) participated as observers.
